Portable WFO display available for affiliated organizations' meetings

ST. LOUIS, MO, USA -- Affiliated organizations may now request the new portable WFO display for annual meetings.

The compact display features information about the WFO and the benefits of becoming a Fellow. Applications, copies of the WFO Bylaws, and issues of the WFO Gazette are included with the display.

"I think it is very important that members should have access to the WFO, its purposes and benefits," said Dr. Robert Max, a member of the WFO Executive Committee. "The booth will enable the WFO to have a presence at regional and large national meetings. It’s an opportunity for individual orthodontists to leisurely inquire and be informed about the purpose and operation of the WFO, how it can help them, and how they may contribute to the progress of this Federation."

To reserve the display, the president of an affiliated organization or a member of the WFO Executive Committee must submit an official request to Ms. Luann Hearin of the WFO Secretariat. The mailing address for the World Federation of Orthodontists is 401 N. Lindbergh Blvd., St. Louis, MO 63141-7816. You may also send the request by fax to 1-314-997-1745.

This request must be made at least six weeks before the meeting date, which will allow time for shipping (up to 10 days depending on location). The display is subject to availability and will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis at no cost to the affiliated organization.

The portable WFO display made its debut at the Australian Society of Orthodontists' (ASO) 16th Australian Orthodontic Congress in March. Pictured in front of the display are, from left, Dr. Richard Hay, treasurer of the ASO, Dr. J.C. Kim of the WFO Executive Committee, Dr. David Thornton Taylor, immediate past president of the ASO, and Dr. Rick Olive, president of the ASO. Affiliated organizations may use the WFO display for annual meetings.
