| Photographs sought for "Smiles from Around the World" display CHICAGO, IL, USA The American Association of Orthodontists (AAO) 100th Annual Session and the 5th International Orthodontic Congress (IOC) will be held in Chicago, Illinois, U.S.A., in April 2000. These meetings will be a celebration of the 100th anniversary of the AAO and will also mark the first full meeting of the WFO. To celebrate these momentous events, the AAO-IOC planning committee would like to share "Smiles from Around the World" as part of the Opening Ceremonies and as a general program display for these meetings.To make this display possible, the AAO-IOC planning committee is requesting the help of WFO fellows and affiliated organizations. WFO fellows and affiliated organizations should submit photographs of smiling patients to Lorraine DuPont of the WFO Secretariat. These photographs should be 3 x 5 inches (7.62 x 12.7 centimeters) or larger, well-focused, and in color if possible. While the display of photographs will primarily feature children, photographs of adult smiles are also welcome. In those countries or regions where permission is required for the display of facial photographs, please obtain this permission and send it with the photographs. Photographs will not be returned following the meeting. Therefore, WFO fellows and affiliated organizations should submit duplicate prints. Please send in the photographs as soon as possible. "Smiles from Around the World" will be a wonderful way to celebrate the start of a new century of orthodontics.
