WFO endorses Glossary of Orthodontic Terms

The World Federation of Orthodontists (WFO) has endorsed the new publication Glossary of Orthodontic Terms, which is published by Quintessence Publishing Company Inc.

This 284-page book contains the definitions and descriptions of more than 2,800 orthodontic and dental terms. Of these terms, 350 are illustrated. The reference book costs $98 (U.S.).

"The WFO was impressed with the effort of the authors to define the multitude of terms utilized in orthodontics around the world," said Dr. William DeKock, who is the immediate past president and new secretary-general of the WFO. "Since the WFO promotes worldwide communication, the Executive Committee concluded that the WFO should endorse the Glossary, which we believe will aid in that communication."
