In September, the WFO Executive Committee notified the WFO affiliated organizations that it is accepting proposals for the date, location and venue of the 7th International Orthodontic Congress (IOC) in 2010.

The WFO Executive Committee encourages all affiliated organizations to consider hosting the 7th IOC. Equal consideration will be given to proposals that call for the meeting to be held between mid-January and mid-March 2010 or mid-September and mid-November 2010.

Affiliated organizations need to submit their proposals to the WFO Secretariat by December 31, 2001. The WFO Executive Committee will select the site of the 7th IOC by December 31, 2002.

When the Executive Committee awards the contract for the meeting to an affiliated organization, that organization will automatically be authorized to appoint one of its members to the WFO Executive Committee. That person will begin a five-year term of service on the Executive Committee at the conclusion of the 6th IOC in September 2005.
