International Conference on Orthodontic Journals to be held March 1, 2002

The Greek Orthodontic Society (GOS) is organizing the International Conference on Orthodontic Journals, which will be held March 1, 2002, in Athens, Greece. This meeting will precede the GOS 7th International Symposium, which will take place March 2-3.

This conference will cover all aspects of publishing scientific papers on orthodontics or related subjects. Its purpose is to improve the researchers', writers', and clinicians' knowledge and understanding of high quality scientific publications. The conference will include lectures, brief presentations and discussion sessions.

Topics to be presented and discussed include the following:

• perspectives of the editors, authors, readers and publishers;
• impact factor, citation index and circulation; and
• evidence-based orthodontics.

Editors and members of the editorial boards of selected international orthodontic journals, as well as distinguished academic colleagues, will contribute to the program of the meeting. The up-to-date list of speakers includes:
